Safer Internet Day - 6th February 2024
For safer internet day 2024, we had PSCO Jonathan Akehurst join us to talk to year 5 and 6 about cyber safety! The children really enjoyed speaking to him and his colleague Lucy.

Being safe and knowing how to be safe online is of great importance to us here at Bemerton. This is something that we do all year round during computing lessons. We celebrate the many positive aspects of the internet as well as consider how using on-line technology can be harmful if not used responsibly.
Please do make time to have conversations with your child about how they use digital technology and encourage them to talk about the ways that it helps them and what might concern them.
Speak Out. Stay Safe - 4th-8th December 2023
We are pleased to inform you that we participated in the NSPCC’s Speak out. Stay safe. Programme this term. Speak out. Stay safe. is a programme for children aged 5-11 which aims to help children understand abuse in all its forms and to recognise the signs of abuse. Children are taught to speak out if they are worried, either to a safe adult or Childline.
This child friendly programme is aligned with the curriculum and consists of age appropriate virtual assemblies and supporting classroom based activities. The content is delivered in an engaging and interactive way with the help of the NSPCC mascot Buddy. If you would like to know more about the Speak out. Stay safe. programme visit www.nspcc.org.uk/speakout.
