IN-YEAR ADMISSIONS ARRANGEMENTS

An "in-year admission" is an application at any other time other than the start of Year R or Year 7 (when all children are expected to change schools). This might happen if, for example. you move house and your child needs to move from one school to another.

Occasionally we do have spaces available during the academic year. The table below shows which year groups have spaces currently.

Early Years 2
Year 1 0
Year 2 0
Year 3 0
Year 4 1
Year 5 0
Year 6 0

If you are considering an in-year admission please contact Miss Beldham or Mrs Pearce in the first instance, who will be able to guide you through the admissions process.  Applicants will be considered in line with the determined Admission Policy.  Where the School has no spaces available, because the admission of another child would prejudice the efficient education of others at the School or would prejudice the efficient use of resources, the application will be refused and a right of appeal (as set out below) will arise.

How to apply

To apply for an in year place please complete the In-Year admissions form (and Supplementary Information Form if applicable) and return to Miss Beldham in the School Office (hard copies are available on request).

The Trust aims to respond to in year admission requests within 10 school days (maximum time to respond is 15 school days).

We can accept applications up to one term in advance of the required start date (you can check our term dates here). If your required start date is more than one term away and/or you already know that there are no spaces in your child's year group, you may ask to be placed on our waiting list. Please contact the School Office on 01722 322848 or email admissions@bemerton-st-john.wilts.sch.uk
